Tales of Old Shaky is a compilation of ten beautiful stories of old New Zealand. The title comes
from a name given to NZ because of its frequent seismic activity - the Shaky Isles.
Featuring Janette's beloved animals, the stories are all heartwarming tales of old-fashioned adventure, beautifully illustrated by Christine Hannah Grace with simple watercolours to appeal to old and young alike.
For all who yearn for traditional story-telling and reflections of past eras, who long for a new 'Little House on the Prairie' or Beatrix Potter to share with their young families, look no further ...

Janette D. Moleta was born in Dannevirke, New Zealand, in 1932. From early childhood she had love of flowers, animals and birds. Later, she became a primary school teacher. She married a farmer, had a family of six, and always shared a love of art, books, music and exquisite English and French china. In mid-life she separated, taking the three youngest daughters. As sole provider, it was a financial struggle, but nevertheless Janette retained her cultural interests including fine cuisine and wonderful stories. She now divides her time between Australia and New Zealand, writing and spending time with her family. Tales of Old Shaky is Janette's first book.

Christine Hannah Grace grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. As a child she always loved stories,
drawing, painting, and making things - from paper dolls to tree-huts. She majored in anthropology and education at Auckland University, married, travelled and worked overseas. On returning to New Zealand Christine qualified as a teacher and taught wonderful children for many years. She loves spending time with my family and travelling ... carrying a sketchpad instead of a camera.
